HELLO ! I noticed that your self-darkening welding mask does not have an external protective glass, so you will damage the self-darkening filter. When welding with an electrode, it would be a little easier to weld with a type 6013 or Mol 309 type electrode. But otherwise, you welded it together beautifully.

Thanks for the video…the different examples really help. I picked up a used AT Gold yesterday at a pawn shop (I couldn’t pass up the deal). It wasn’t even on my radar, I was looking hard for a gold monster 1000. The more I’m learning about the AT Gold, the happier I am with the purchase.

Most VLFs are too chattery in the salt and the discrimination cuts the depth.

I've been a welder for 45+ years and I would have had a hard time welding a rusted out tailpipe like that and making it look good with a little stick welder and 6011 rods.

The 2 Part Appoxy JB weld would have worked also and dries in 30 mins, but you need the pack thats got 2 tubes and you mix together and it Turns Grey. And just rub it on with finger with a rubber glove on.

I found a fisher 1266xb in case with plastic bag still on head and foam covering stem. Never once used or had batteries in it. Still in Fisher factory box. Off of marketplace for 300.00. My wife and I had a metal detector shop called treasure island metal detectors in 2000 thru 2010. I sold fisher, Garrett, Tesoro and bounty hunter. 1266xb, and Tesoro are hands down best analog detectors ever. I cannot stand the digital detectors of today.

Update from all them years ago modern detectors still struggle to beat this little detector the vaquero,shame they stopped making them , people prefer unreliable I'd numbers nowadays lol

I have both of those machines, i gave the f2 to my eldest. Quite the coin machine. My vaquero nails it all though, perfer it over the simplex

(thought it would work as normal due to it being water proof within certain parts of the detector), on dry land and sand worked well. My first one, so still have lots to learn

Old guy here, started 1980 with A White's 5000D Series 2. I now have the last 3 detectors I will own. Sold my 6000XL Pro, Bought a MXT All Pro, Then ran onto a MX Sport Closet Queen, Then Just got a shiny new looking IDX Pro. Happy as I can be.
